The problem between them was his lust
for proclaiming. He didn’t mingle
just right. He wallowed in self adoration
rationing affection for all others.
Perhaps the exception was for those pinkly
perfuming the environs thereby freely
flitting from blossom to blossom while
out-blossoming the blossoms themselves.
He lived between his ears for years thundering
various opinions blundering through
social circuitous geometry
as if the panoply of arrangements
were his to call all quite predictable
dogma determined by him as hymnals
brittle and crackable as unsung.
