Poetry
multilingual
a polyglot
living monolingually
the language I used to speak
warm
cold
the only thing I had
the phrases and metaphors and slang
picked up along the way
from various men and women
lost to atrophy
years since spoken
a piano
only playing middle C
the language she taught me before before
moth in the wardrobe
first of many to come
a paintbrush
only painting blue
the language he taught me before
hard
cold
forgotten, not lost
hidden, not forgotten
the language you taught me
warm
cold
matched set
code to be broken
match to be sparked
moon to be phased
