Land of my ancestors
Today you call me and I ponder
I’m a stranger to your rooster’s morning crow
To the natural smell of your plants
Adding greenery to your landscape
I’ve walked on the blood of my forefathers
The valiant fighters
I scorned your heritage
Left for me for eternity
I’ve lost my tongue
Everything I say is transparent
I’ve forgotten the motto
That was the foundation of your radiance
I’ve lost my identity
Conquering a new land
