Poetry
Wild Fire
At the end of days
They say we will not know
Our own roofs from the midnight sky
Whether to fling our barrels
Or capture our last gasps within them
That we may wring one more hour
From the ochre mist
As we watch the molten cobbles
Once hard beneath the sandals
Of our fathers and theirs
Flow down the ashen streets
Toward a sea that offers no reprieve
