Poetry
Breathing
The barks of a pack
of dogs echo
echo down the empty streets
Breathe slow
one-two
Breathe deep
three-four
A car alarm sounds,
the wind gusts
through the city canyon
Night falls
into the silence, yet
prays my mind, please, Spirit …
Breathe slow
one-two
Breathe deep
three-four
High on a hillside
a police siren
whoops…
Breathe…
